Fixed my Game Gear back to working like new!

I had a Game Gear with no video and no sound output. I used this kit to re-cap the main board and sound board and the system works as good as new again! There were plenty of caps, it appears this one kit can handle any Game Gear revision, as I had extra caps I didn't need for my particular system. Excellent kit!

Caps worked great

They worked great and brought one with major screen problems back to life.
Only thing i wish they included, was maybe a sheet which said which Cap specifically went where (like 100uf to C39)

Guide book or notes would be helpful!

Great but was hoping of receiving a guide book or some notes in installing capacitors.

Exactly what I wanted

Everything I ordered is perfect. I would love it if retromodding sold a soldering iron with the right kind of solder and other soldering stuff. It took a lot of research and some experimenting to find the right combination of soldering iron, iron tip, solder, and other things needed to clean the iron, clean old solder, clean the circuit board, etc.

Beginner success

I have never soldered through hole or surface mount caps before, and with some viewing of how-to videos on YouTube, I was able to successfully recap my fame gear and getting it working, first try.

Kit has more than enough to recap all caps n the game gear.

Rise from your grave!

Caps (both sets) came faster than was quoted (although I only live 2 hours away I shouldn't be shocked). Couple hours of work and my Game Gear is back working again! Great kit(s) for anyone looking to cap swap.
