If your NES controller's buttons are sticky or unresponsive, it's likely that the conductive silicone pads are worn out or dirty. The first step to restoring your console is to try cleaning the pads with a Q-tip dipped in isopropyl alcohol. If that doesn't work, consider swapping them out for a brand new replacement set.

You need this for Analogue Pocket

Together with a dpad for a original Gameboy this will fix your too sensitive in the diagonal issue. A must for Tetris IMHO.

Patience is a virtue

Like all silicone pads, it took a while for the NES silicone pads to break in. At first, they were snappy and sticky. After a few rounds of action games like Mega Man 5, the A + B buttons felt normal.
