IPS Laminated 3.0 LCD (with text) for Game Boy Advance

The screen is excellent. Placement in the console is very good, the ribbon does need a delicate touch and some double sided tape to get just right.
This screen is power hungry, as you should already expect, and will inhale batteries. Probably best to do any power system upgrades before undertaking this mod, but you'll be glad you did.
Be careful with the ribbons, there's no replacing the one attached to the screen.

Good screen replacement and with the correct shell, drops in easy. I would knock off a 1/4 star as the screen does not positively seat into the shell nor have any retention so it is a bit fiddly to get everything in the correct spot without damaging the connectors.

Screen is nice and bright and has only minimal draw on the battery life.

Touch sensor is a bit too sensitive but soldering the connecting wires makes it so you don’t have to utilize that feature.

If you get the screen and the case, it is incredibly easy to install. Make sure you get a good tri-wing bit, but that's not on RM, Nintendo screws work well but there are so many crap drivers out there. The soldering is easy - however you do need a very fine point iron. I used a cheap one from amazon because my main one was too big. Overall, i would do it again.

Screen is very clear, colorful, and bright. A plastic bracket is supplied to seat the screen against the front shell, but this bracket pinches the screen's ribbon cable. This caused my screen to stop working after about 20 minutes. I admit it is the user's responsibility to do any necessary trimming, and the bracket can easily be trimmed to not pinch the cable. Even so, you would think that the bracket that is sold with the screen would, I don't know, maybe work with the screen out of the box.

heh, geddit?! No, seriously this screen looks fantastic and the filters looks great as well! the install process if you have an appropriate shell is super easy!

Followed a video tutorial by Macho Nacho Productions and installing it was pretty easy. I opted to do a bit of soldering because I prefer the button controls over the touch screen (and I don't think I laid it that well inside anyway, and the end result was well worth it. Definitely recommend the mod if you have access to a soldering iron and want to have a backlit screen.

I think it only took 3 or so days to get to my house. The packing was solid so my issues with it not function were likely my own fault. I failed to follow instructions and soldered without testing, but next time I revisit this project I would likely come back.

While I have no problems with the screen itself, some of the descriptions on products (especially the shells) need to be updated to clearly reflect what shells are compatible with what screens, I got very confused with what shells work with what screens.

The screen looks great and is very customizable for the best gameplay experience. It is very easy to install and I appreciate the touch sensor to make soldering optional. (Although, I did the soldering anyway because it is still very minimal.) I also like how the screen is attached to the front glass as to make sure that no dust gets inside the screen, (Which did happen a little bit on my other gbas using previous versions of this kit...) Overall a great product!

The setup for the screen was easy enough… until it turned on and I realized the screen was damaged somehow. It has tons of gray horizontal lines on the screen which are distracting. Plus to make this worse I’ve emailed supported 3 times in the past few months asking about it but never got a response. So I ruined my game boy for no reason 😭

The mod was pretty easy to preform. The only problem I would have is connecting the ribbon

Giving 4 stars only because of the packaging and also it was missing the black box and foam piece for the touch pad, other than that the screen worked perfectly! I will be purchasing another one for my other GBA!

This should be a 10-15min install but with my shaking hands I got'r done in 30 or so plus with the touch sensor i still get everything out of it with out soldering. I highly recommend this.

I appreciated the quick shipping and the quality of the laminated screen. It was a very easy install into one of the IPS ready shells. I would definitely recommend this product. I had literally never done any console modding, so anyone can use this product, even if you are a novice.

I ordered the IPS 3.0 for a clear green GBA and it looks awesome! Bu holding down the select button for a few seconds, I can not only change the screen, but also the colors on the GBC part. The GBA looks wonderful with the illuminated screen!

Great screen. This is the 3rd handheld I’ve modding with funny playing laminated screens. And they are all so incredible. Great viewing angles and crisp clean colours. 10/10

This is an amazing screen mod, no soldering required just a simple touch pad that once installed you simply tap the logo beneath the screen to adjust brightness.
