Notes

  • Depending on your cartridge, you will either need a security bit or a tri-wing screwdriver to open the game cartridge and identify and replace your battery. These tools are offered separately or as part of our video game console repair tool set
  • Before placing your order, open the game cartridge to confirm which type of battery you need by examining the internal circuit board
  • We strongly recommend soldering the battery in place to prevent it from disconnecting and erasing your save file

These Batteries Are Amazing

I purchased 2 of these to replace the batteries in my (Unmodded) AGS-001s. One had a swollen battery that lasted about 3 hrs, and the other 7 hrs or so.

These batteries are a snug fit, and the bracket can come apart easily so be careful when installing. They do seem to stick up on one end (opposite the connector) and it pushes the battery cover up a tad. Not enough to bother me though.

I charged these up and then turned them on with a timer. The red indicator light did not come on until 12 HOURS LATER!

At no point did they seem to get warm. I have to put these through the ringer, and I cant speak for longevity, but currently I am VERY happy with these.

They are pre tabbed for easy install! Make sure you get the right size!!!! I ordered the 1616 instead of the 2032!!!

Easy, simple, works great. Takes a little bit to figure out the best way to solder in place, but easy enough. 10/10 would recommend.

Each battery is shipped in individual sealed bags to prevent shorts, really nice touch

good battery for what its worth. the only down side is fitting perfectly with my game boy. if you can find ways to at least trim a bit to at least slim it, then would be perfect
