Notes

  • This is an in-house product. For troubleshooting or support queries, please reach out to us directly on Facebook or by email at support@retromodding.com
  • We typically recommend setting the trigger button to SELECT or START. To change brightness settings, simply hold the trigger button until the screen flashes white. Once it does, use the up and down buttons on the D-pad to navigate to your preferred brightness setting. Press SELECT again to save your brightness settings. The system will remember your choice the next time you boot up the console.
  • Intended for use in Game Boy Advance AGS-101 mods
  • This product is intended to be installed with the standard ribbon cable adapter. It can be installed using the ribbon cable adapter with wire, but we recommend desoldering the red wire and following our tutorial. Installing this product using the ribbon cable adapter with brightness switch may produce undesirable results and is strongly discouraged.

    Great mod

I made a AGS101 screened GBA years ago that I never used because of the brightness, I finally dug it out and installed this regulator and the GBA is great to use again. There's little need to do the 101 mod today since a modern screen kit is better and easier to install, but this is fantastic for fixing up the old install.

    Great voltage regulator and dimmer

Awesome board, makes the screen brighter than ever with good brightness control.. AA battery life is really good. The only thing that would have made this better is if the wire and double sided tape was Included with the chip.

Everything worked well and it’s nice to be able to adjust the brightness of screen and have it brighter

    Waited 2 long for this

The 101 screen needs this for the correct power regardless you want to max the brightness. This eliminates the waves and noise in the background for the cleanest picture you can get in a agb 101.

    Awesome product

Easy install with the most excellent step by step instructions. This brought new life to my modded GBA with an AGS-101 screen installed 7 years ago! I had no idea it could get this bright, and having brightness control built in adds so much value! Super happy with this and I'm seeing my GBA games in new "light" with original hardware, the best way to play.
