EZ-Flash Omega

I have been in the flashcard community for over 18 years. Still remember when I first got my Supercard SD, then it was Supercard lite, M3, and finally EZflash IV. After EZflash IV I did not look further and had been using my card for 10 years. This had been the best flash card ever, so why upgrade? well because EZ Flash did it again, with another Amazing Flash card: EZ Flash Omega. This Card is an upgraded EZ Flash IV.

Only caveat is you have to wait 5 seconds after doing an 'In Game save' before restarting or turning off. Since this Ezflash reads/loads games directly from SD card it also writes save files directly to them and it can take 3 seconds to write save. So just to be save wait 5 seconds after you 'in Game' Save is complete and you should be good to go. 100% recommend this card. Also don't user NOR to write games like EZ flash IV, completely unnecessary in this age and with this Flash card.

This is a very good flash cart with a good amount of features. It plays gba and gbc games perfectly as far as I can tell. The only problem it has is save corruption, three days after I got it a save file got corrupted. Luckily I had just backed up my save. If you decide to get this product or the definitive edition, I recommend installing simplelight to the cart. I have used simplelight for around a month now and have had no save corruption issues.

Not the most beginner-friendly, but extremely useful for playing Game Boy Advance games! (Do not play Game Boy games on this flash cart, it does not save them well.) I'm gonna put Shrek 2 on here!

I got is pretty quick, and works as advertised.

Exactly what I ordered.

So far so good! As expected, some larger GBC and NES games don't load correctly. But everything else is great

Setup is extremely finicky and a little obtuse, but once it works, it works great. I can’t tell the difference between my OEM carts and their ROMs on the ez flash. just make sure you unzip your ROMs before copying them into the SD card root.

It was very easy to load up games onto the micro SD and then play them instantly! I've had no issues with the save which had worried me originally when I opted for this instead of the everdrive. The plastic does feel a little cheap compared to the classic game cartridges but it's not that noticeable . Overall I recommend it! It's been super fun to play gameboy advance again!

Great product for a good price. Set up takes a bit of work, but that just makes it more interesting. Makes me feel like a hacker and not the slacker I really am.

Saves don't work on it so most games are completely unplayable. There doesn't seem to be any workarounds either. Will be buying an everdrive when I get the chance.

Even with some of the flaws it has vs the definitive edition, I love that it comes with the adapter to make it fit flush in a DS Lite. Works great otherwise for GBA games just make sure to wait a bit (5-10seconds) after saving on a file as you can get a corrupted sav file it you turn it off too soon. Didn't really like the emulation for any other games on it.

Initially very pleased to see how easy it was to load and play games with this cartridge but after a week I started getting a message saying that the internal battery on the ez-flash had died. Very annoying that i have to replace the battery so soon. Maybe I got a used one, the package it came in was pretty beat up and the tape on the box was already cut.

Once ez flash got corrupted and i lost all my saves i dont know why so i dont know how it would be in the future. For now its ok.

Nes roms are bad, problem with graphics.

Gb/gbc roms are not scaled, only in original size.

Overall I’ve had a great experience with the product. I had 3 minor complaints:

1) I had a lot of issues getting the GB and GBC rom files to display on the menu after booting up the cart on my GBA SP or Analogue Pocket. It took a couple of hours of trying various troubleshooting steps online (none of which worked). I only got it to work randomly after I accidentally added all of the GB and GBC ROMs as 7zip files. After I unzipped them and reloaded the cart, all the files appeared and played fine.

2) NES ROMs have A LOT of issues for me. Graphic corruptions, pixels not aligned properly, audio corruptions. Normally I wouldn’t have mentioned this since this is a GBA flash cart, but it’s advertised that NES ROMs are supposed to work. This was definitely disappointing to experience.

3) No upscaling options for GB and GBC games. This isn’t a huge deal on my GBA SP, but when playing on the Analogue Pocket, only having the original aspect ratio Is very noticeable vs playing an original cart on the pocket (which gets beautifully upscaled to fit the screen). Now, I know this product came out well before the pocket, so this is more of an improvement idea to consider for future iterations of this product.

The function is awesome. The fit is lacking. The cart is crooked, doesn’t close well, and takes some finesse to get into the console. I would recommend - but know the plastic holder is a bit cheap.

Works great just sux on batteries

It works mostly like it should. Every now and again it seems to freeze and hang...and sometimes erase data but outside of that it seems to work just fine

Bhought for using with the Gameboy Player accessory, and the graphics (upscaled res with GBI) and ease of use is absolutely stunning.

Can’t speak for compabiliy with handheld Gameboys, but I’d rate this at the top for Gamecube usage.
